Your role at Eye Security

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps and DataOps Engineer to join our Platform Team. The Platform Team works closely together with the Engineering team, consisting of backend, frontend and full-stack developers. The Platform Team automates infrastructure management and enables developers to self-serve reliable tools and workflows from our managed technology platform in AWS. By reducing cognitive load on development teams, our Platform Team serves as an important evolution in cloud native software delivery, as all software that we build internally has been cloud-native and serverless according to our architecture principles.

Our Senior DevOps and DataOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS infrastructure (and a little of Azure) for software deployment and managing different environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and implementing DevOps and DataOps processes that will enable our teams to deliver software with speed, reliability and security.

As a Senior DevOps and DataOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the entire infrastructure of the product, including designing, implementing, and maintaining the necessary systems and services. You will collaborate with the development teams to ensure that the infrastructure supports the product's requirements and can scale effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS/Azure infrastructure to support software deployment and manage different environments.
• Integrate and maintain various external services into our systems.
• Define and implement DevOps and DataOps processes to optimise software delivery and achieve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the development teams to identify and solve infrastructure-related issues.
• Automate manual processes, including testing and deployment.
• Ensure data management processes are in place to support data requirements.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and work towards their resolution.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and take proactive steps to improve it.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure security.

You are passionate about working in - and building new - DevOps and Platform Teams in a fast-growing company like Eye. You like to learn more about cybersecurity, hacking and want to work with the best hackers in Europe which share their vast knowledge with engineers, who help increase customer stickiness with our own in-house software, data and integrations.

Furthermore:

• You are a EU Citizen, preferably based in The Netherlands, otherwise Germany or Belgium.
  
• At least three years of experience managing complex pipelines, preferably in AWS public cloud.
• Ability to work independently, using your strong communication skills and you like to take initiative.
• Strong knowledge of various AWS services.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Experience with Serverless, Docker, and containerization.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS Amplify.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks in Git (preferably Gitlab).
• Experience working with data, specificly SQL and NoSQL databases.
  

Optional experience but does add to the fit: AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Python, Go, Gitlab, AWS Glue, AWS OpenSearch, AWS QuickSight.
