Product Owner

Eye has a mission: to digitally secure SMEs in Europe. This initiative comes from the dream of former intelligence and security service employees in the Netherlands to also protect smaller companies from the increasing threat of cybercrime. We've been doing this since 2020 and are now a team of almost 80 passionate and talented professionals who all have something in common: a strong aversion to (digital) injustice. Your role at Eye

As a fast-growing Cybersecurity scale-up Eye Security is continuously evolving and changing. As our Product team you are the link between our Security experts, developers and customers and the driver of the product roadmap.
You will use your “helicopter view” to make sure that cross-functional teams work in a structured and well-informed way. By constantly setting priorities straight and keeping all communication on a high and fluent level you get the most out of your colleagues, and yourself. You are the ultimate stakeholder when it comes to supporting the business and you are excited to build a deep understanding of our product portfolio. An ideal way to develop yourself from within your expertise while enjoying the autonomy and freedom to do this within Eye Security

Key responsibilities

Your day to day job will differ, but will at the same time always focus on one bigger goal which will relate to the product suite, you are the internal flag bearer. You understand the market dynamics and customer requirements, to make the right decisions on the next priorities.

Some other good examples of what to expect are:

• Writing user stories and documentation and pro-actively share and discuss these with the tech-team(s);
• Prioritising the backlog, ensure that development efforts are aligned with business needs;
• Agreeing on operational objectives by working with business teams; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats;
• Making data-driven decisions, we improve the product based on fact rather than gut
• Demonstrating improvements continuously to the team and release notes to customer.

Who are we looking for

As you might have noticed, we are looking for someone who is quite diverse. Your basis is that you have an interest in Cybersecurity companies or startups in general. On top of that, this pretty much sums up who you are:

• WO/Master graduate, preferably in Technology, Business, Entrepreneurship etc.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Your analytical skills make it easy for your to constantly prioritise, notice potential obstacles to be taken care of, the value of when and how to do something and making data-driven decisions based on what has been done before.
• Your organisational and communication skills are excellent. But really.
• Your stakeholder management is on point and professional, making you the ideal person to work with for everybody within the company to work besides management.
• You have a strong intrinsic motivation to get the best out of yourself and your time. Which means we wouldn’t have to bother to tell you what to do and when to do it.
